Saigon - Phan thiet - Nha trang - Hanoi - Halong
This is our most compact program, specifically designed for European travelers who have limited time, but wish to enjoy a getaway vacation in Asian famous beaches and the most beautiful tropical resorts in Vietnam and also want to explore a Vietnam of legend and hidden charms .
Day 1 Arrive Saigon
Historical reminders of Viet Nam's past are abundant here and provide a striking backdrop to the rapid transformation of Viet Nam today. In Ho Chi Minh city we see charming colonial buildings along historic tree-lined boulevards, explore the Chinatown of Sai Gon and touring this exciting commercial district with its colorful markets as we discover a Chinese pagoda, which is distinctly different from those found in other part of Viet Nam.
This city's attractions provide a wealth of opportunity to learn about the country's ancient realm. The historical museum features a collection of artifacts and relics, representing the evolution of Vietnam's cultures. Later we drive to the Reunification Hall built from 1963, which still houses everything left after April 30, 1975. We tour the banquet room with a large oil painting, the State Chamber and the Cabinet room that was used for daily military briefing during the war. Overnight in Saigon
Day 2 Saigon-Phanthiet
Leave Ho Chi Minh City by road for Phan Thiet. The scenic 200km drive north on Highway One passes through the bustling city of Bien Hoa before cutting through dense rubber plantations. Nearer to Phan Thiet the terrain changes to arid semi-desert with cactus plants and strange looking dragon fruit trees. Arrive in Phan Thiet in the late morning and check into resort. The rest of the day is spend to visit one of the well known "fish sauce" factory. Head for nearby Mui Ne beach 11 km away before relaxing in the hotel swimming pool or on the sandy beach. Day 3 PhanThiet City Tour
During the tour, we will visit the fishing harbor and the impressive beauty of Mui Ne sand dunes, lotus lake…. Swimming, snorkeling and other water sport are available for your choice of entertainment. Overnight in Phanthiet
Day 4 Phan Thiet –Nha trang
We drive to the Po Nagar Tower, being considered the most beautiful reminder of Cham architecture. We then visit the Pasteur Institute, see Dr. Yesin's library and office that has been converted into a museum. Later we look at the impressive Long Son Pagoda, tour the famous Oceanographic Institute and admire the beautiful view of Nha Trang coastline from the Hon Chong Rock. Overnight in Nha trang
Day 5 Nha trang. City tour
We visit the great Tri Nguyen Aquarium, jumping into the sea for a swim and have a rest in one of its many white sandy beaches. It is also a chance to explore a fishing village and mingle with friendly locals as we sail around the remarkable offshore islands before heading back to the mainland. Overnight in Nha trang
Day 6 Morning flight Nha trang- Hanoi. Airport pickup and then touring
We leave for the impressive Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, visiting his wooden cottage and tour the Ho Chi Minh Museum's displays with messages of Peace, Happiness and Freedom. We then wander the historical Ba Dinh Square, where President Ho Chi Minh stated his declaration of independence on September 2, 1945. Moving to the Army Museum, we see many exhibits from ancient wars against Chinese invaders to the final victory on April 30, 1975. We also look at one of the symbols of Hanoi, the Flag Tower built in 1812 before pausing at the former prison, which was referred to as the Hanoi Hilton by the US pilots during the war.
The Old Quarter of Hanoi is referred to as the city of ancient 36 streets and districts. These streets represented professional guilds of the ancient Vietnam Capital that we can even find nowadays. Travelling by a cyclo, we pass many French influences including Hanoi Opera House, the State Bank and the former Governor's palace. Afterwards, we journey around beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake, tour the Hanoi Cathedral built in late 19th century. Finally, we wander the lively old streets filled with traditional crafts, having some great bargain before we return to the hotel. Overnight in Hanoi
Day 7 Hanoi-Halong. Tour on boat
Board our traditional Huong Hai Junk in the afternoon and cruise through the middle of Halong Bay while enjoying a seafood lunch served on board. Visit one of the most impressive grottoes and have a swim at a deserted beach.
![]() | After dinner, stop off in a quite bay for some night fishing before having a peaceful sleep in a comfortable cabin. The Huong Hai resumes its cruise the next day while breakfast is being served. If weather conditions permit, go in a small boat through flooded caves leading to the heart of one island. Day 8 Halong-Hanoi-Airport-Depart
Wake up to fresh coffee and a wholesome breakfast before cruising back to Halong City. En route the junk weaves through strange-shaped rock formations that invite comparisons from fighting cocks to dragons and even General de Gaulle's nose! After another wonderful fresh seafood lunch on board disembark at the dock at Halong City. Transfer back to Hanoi by road and transfer to airport on arrival. Free time until we are transferred to the airport for departure. Home sweet home!
